Overview
These Terms of Business outline how G&L Talent partners with clients on both permanent and contract recruitment. They’re designed to ensure transparency, fairness, and compliance across every stage of the hiring process.
Full Terms of Business are shared and agreed before we begin any recruitment activity.
Permanent Recruitment
We charge a 20% fee of the candidate’s first-year remuneration (salary, bonuses, and benefits).
Invoices are issued on the candidate’s start date and are payable within 14 days.
If a candidate leaves within the first 12 weeks, our replacement guarantee applies on a sliding scale — ensuring you receive a fair and proportionate rebate or a priority replacement.
Contract & Freelance Recruitment
For contract and freelance placements, G&L Talent operates on a margin model — the difference between the client’s agreed day rate and the contractor’s rate.
Contractors submit weekly timesheets, and clients are invoiced weekly or monthly depending on the agreement.
We ensure full IR35 compliance for all assignments, providing PAYE, umbrella, or limited company options where appropriate.
IR35 & Compliance
G&L Talent supports both clients and contractors in meeting their obligations under UK off-payroll (IR35) legislation.
We’ll help with status determinations and ensure that the correct payment structure and documentation are in place before the assignment begins.
Replacements & Guarantees
If a placed candidate leaves within the first 12 weeks, we offer a sliding-scale rebate or a replacement search at no additional cost — provided invoices have been paid in full and notification is given within 7 days of departure.

All introductions and candidate information are confidential and shared in line with GDPR.
